Miami Herald columnist Armando Salguero cautions not to rule out a deal between the Dolphins and Broncos for QB Kyle Orton.
In his Saturday column, Miami Herald columnist Armado Salguero cautions fans to not dismiss the idea of a trade between the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins for QB Kyle Orton.
While Orton is taking first-team snaps in training camp, "Orton to Miami remains a possibility. I cannot say it’s a certainty because nothing is even remotely close to certain in the NFL," writes Salguero.
"This negotiation has been a poker game and everyone is holding great cards while bluffing at the same time. It seemed like the Dolphins folded early Friday. So why has no one truly walked away from the table?"
The prospect of a third team getting involved in an already complicated trade seems slim, but the Broncos still may be forced to move Orton due to salary cap issues before the league year officially starts on August 4th.
