The trade between the Broncos and Jets involving Tim Tebow is official, despite being put on hold Wednesday afternoon
The Broncos trade of Tim Tebow and a 7th-round draft pick to the New York Jets for 4th- and 6th-round picks is now official, despite being put on hold early Wednesday afternoon.
The trade hit a snag regarding the $5 million paid to Tebow by the Broncos that would have been recouped to the Broncos by the Jets. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jets will pay half that amount to the Broncos, and the trade will go through as originally set.
Following the hold up, the Jacksonville Jaguars emerged as contenders for Tebow's services, but the Jets' coaching staff and front office was very interested in bringing Tebow to New York.
